Hi all,
Here's a little something you might like to see... It's The Phillips vs The Mitchells in the first full-episode (5 parts) of Fat Chance, a series that I was involved in back in 2003. Wait till you see what these families were doing and eating before myself and Jane DeVille-Almond got hold of them!
You can watch the whole episode on petecohen.com:

P.S I'm putting loads more clips up from my TV work over the next few months - so stay tuned.

I've already helped thousands of people to create the life they want, through television work (GMTV's resident Life Coach and motivator for the past 6 years), working with sport stars (Ronnie O’Sullivan, Sally Gunnell, Ellen Macarthur, Arsenal Football Club) and corporate seminars (IBM, Royal Bank of Scotland, BAA, Thomas Cook). Now I'm teaching these same techniques and principles in Central London on 21st June – at a price that only just covers my expenses!
Admission is normally £99 +VAT for the day, but if you register before 12th May you can snap up one of our specially reserved half-price tickets …. Just £49 +VAT! At this price, I'm only looking to cover my venue costs. This has to be the most valuable seminar that anyone could attend if they really want to make 2008 a year to remember.
Our Inch-Loss-Ladies are back for a quick update. They're all doing really well and have stuck with the programme. Excellent job, Well done girls!
Yesterday at the gym at 6.30 am. Resistance first then cardio. Quite enjoying early morning exercise. I feel invigorated for the day. Lots of messages of support from my work friends and patients. Continued support from my loved ones. Followed Amanda's nutrition plan throughout the day and not missing any foods. Ate at friends last night - baked salmon and stir fried veggies - delicious. Suddenly became very tired and found it difficult to keep my eyes open when driving home. Really wanted caffeine but refrained and slept like a baby. I feel pretty good and really motivated.
Our fabulous Inch Loss Girls have agreed to make some posts on the blog in the coming weeks... they've also got access to my petecohen.tv on-line weight-loss programme. So, if you're interested in learning some more Inch Loss secrets, watching their progress and even offering some words of encouragement, please watch this space. You can get an RSS feed here or subscribe to the blog-feed by email here so you don't forget to come back. See you soon. Pete

It has been such a pleasure to work with them as they where really up for it. The real challenge starts now as they return to the real world. We will keep in touch with them and support them as best as we can. GMTV plan for us to go back and see them in May so watch this space.
It has also been fab working with personal trainer Mark Anthony and Nutritionist, Amanda Hamilton. We have formed a great team and plan to work together to inspire people to lose weight, get fit, increase their energy and live the dream. We are planning to do a workshop together in London in May. I will keep you all informed.
Thanks for all your support this week
Well, it’s day 2 and our recruits haven’t had a moment to themselves as, once again, they were woken up at 5am for an early morning workout.
They appear to be doing well - but they are being tested. Today, they are going through a detox; only having fruit juices and some vegetable broth. Rather them then me! But it’s not a bad thing, as their bodies will benefit from not having to deal with some of the foods they're accustomed to eating.
They are in for a surprise this afternoon as Anton Du Beke, who was Kate Garraway’s dancing partner in Strictly Come Dancing is here to teach our recruits how to ballroom dance. They don’t know how lucky they are!
Is it just me, or does Karen look like she's enjoying this?
Until Tomorrow,
Take care, Pete
It’s only day one and already emotions have run high. First off we had technical problems today that stopped us showing any of Inch Loss live. But, what can you do? Technology never works perfectly... all we can do is hope that tomorrow runs more smoothly.
Our recruits were woken up at 5 this morning for a fitness session, it’s now 6pm and they're sooo tired, but still smiling. Karen from Scotland has been really upset today as she finally accepted what she has done to herself over the years. I had a heart-to-heart with her and she got pretty upset. I know though, that this is a good thing, because she's facing up to herself and allowing the stored negative emotions to come out.
They are great girls and I am sure they will do really well.
The experts have been working-out together... we have just finished a run around the island. How fit are Doctor Hilary and Amanda Hamilton? I tell you - VERY FIT!

It’s Day 2 and it’s 4.50am. Our recruits are in for shock as they are being woken up at 5am by our fitness trainer Mark Anthony for an early morning workout. I can’t imagine that they would have ever experienced anything like this before but we need to get them out of their comfort zones and get them doing things differently because; if they always do what they’ve always done then they will always get what they’ve always got.
Today sees me greet the ladies live on air (weather permitting!) at 8.15 as someone who’s is overweight. I was going to be wearing a fat suit but it was left in London by the GMTV crew so we are going to pad me out with loads of sheets and towels to make me look overweight. I am sure this might upset some viewers, as they may think I'm making fun of their weight, but I actually want to make a really important point to our recruits, and to the viewers . The fact is no one is born overweight, they have become that way through their lives and their life experiences. You could say that they are good or even skilled at behaving in a way that allows their weight to increase. It might not be what they want, but they have put a lot of effort into eating when they are not hungry, eating more than they need and being in-active.
In addition many people have also put loads of effort into losing weight and getting fit only to return to their old habits. So, many overweight people are actually comfortable with the way that they are ... and this is the challenge: to get out of our comfort zones, to do things differently and learn the skills and techniques that not only help us lose weight, but also keep it off!
I better get out of my bed now and go check out our ladies as it’s after 5!
Take care, Pete
