Interview with Snooker Champion Ronnie O'Sullivan

Hi everyone

I have a great pod-cast for you to listen to. Here I am interviewing World Number One Snooker player, Ronnie O'Sullivan.

I spent two years working with Ronnie and it was some of the most rewarding work I have done to date. Ronnie is nicknamed "The Rocket" due to his rapid playing style. He has been world champion on three occasions and is considered by many fans, critics and fellow professionals as the most naturally talented player in the history of the game.

In this interview we discuss Ronnie's approach to health fitness and weight loss and also discuss the components it takes to be successful and a winner in what ever you do.

Please let us know what you think of this pod-cast and if you find it useful. I will personally pass on any comment to Ronnie

Pej's Gravatar Ronnie is a joy to listen to as he is a paradox, simple but complex. One of the most emotionally intelligent humans...

Thanks.

Claireabella's Gravatar I didn't think that I would find similarities between myself and Ronnie, but I could in this podcast. This made it very inspiring to listen to. The sweating detox was great way to think about exercise. Thanks you for the motivation.

PP's Gravatar I really enjoyed this. Thankyou Pete and Ronnie. Love your perspective on exercise. You made me want to go straight out for a run! Love the thought of it being a detox.

Katfrin's Gravatar I have listened to this podcast twice now - which is something in itself as it's not short is it!?
I would like to thank Ronnie for sharing his journey - his candidness and honesty about where he's been and how he's got to the balanced state he is in now was really interesting. Out of all the things you both talk about I think I'll take away enjoying what you do whilst you are doing in and focusing on it at the time- winning is sort of secondary. I also found what he said about being relentless about being fit and healthy - it shouldn't really end - this striving to be better at what we do.
All in all I think he sounds a well sorted chap and I would love him to pop around for a cup of tea and a nice run ( though not necessarily in that order).

BlondeBombshell's Gravatar I've loved all the podcasts you've encouraged us to listen to Pete, but I think this one has to be my favourite so far. I laughed most the way through the first half thinking maybe you'd sent it out especially for me. I've have so been there, starving myself because I'm losing weight and frantically exercising like there's no tommorrow, to stuffing my face because I'm sick of being 'good' and not doing any exercise because I'm feeling lethargic with no energy. I just loved the way you and Ronnie talked about finding a balance, being relaxed and being positive. It's one of the things that have really helped with this eating program doing everything in moderation. It's funny how being frantic in exercise is different from being relentless, i'm not sure how to explain why but it just is. I think you can be relentless but still be in control and come out feeling on top of the world. I loved the thought of exercise being a detox, I once read an article in 'Runners World' that talked about a similar thing and I thought then how true it was.

Thanks again Pete, this ones going to keep me smiling and motivated for a quite a while.

Xxx

Sally's Gravatar What a lovely humble guy Ronnie is. I really have been touched by his complete frankness and openess and his journey has moved me close to tears. Thanks for this podcast Pete; it has shown me that with such strong determination, we can override times of despair and survive life by gently making changes which in Ronnie's case has escalated to beyond the bounds of possibility!! He is truely amazing, I love his take on exercising to feel "cleansed". Inspired me to detox with passion!
