Bala's Gravatar Listening to Ian was so inspirational. What strength of character, honesty and determination!! I applaud you Ian and wish you every success in the future.

It has motivated me to get off the chair at the dining table and get on my exercise bike. I was feeling sorry for myself as I have a bad cold, didn't sleep too well with the nose being bunged up! Only I can get into good habits and shift this weight. I have indulged and put the fat on the body. As a result my knees are painful.

Thank you Ian and Pete for a kick up my backside to stop me feeling sorry for myself. It's only a cold - not life threatening - so I can get exercising instead of watching TV/DVD's.

Karla007's Gravatar Wow what a story you have Ian. I commend you on the courage and strength you have to overcome all you did. I quit smoking 3 years ago and just that was hard. I would quit food if I could because I just love it some much.

Thank you Ian and Pete for putting things into prespective and making me realize I can do it.

Lyn's Gravatar Well done Ian for turning your life around. The support is great but ultimately it is down to the decisions we make for ourselves, albeit informed decisions. Keep up the good work.

Cristina's Gravatar Hi Ian

It's really great to see a guy become Member of the Month...it would be lovely to see more men on this website who are willing to look at themselves and see their truth and create positive change as you have.

That is one hell of an amazing achievement to have gone from not just breaking addictions but to have incorporated a healthy diet and exercise into your life as well.

Thank you for such an open and honest podcast. Very inspiring. :)

Maureen's Gravatar If I could bottle half of Ian's strength of character I would be on to a winner!

I really admire his total honesty and how he appears to be totally at ease with his new life.

He comes across as being very grounded and has an air of complete calm and control - fantastic!

Well done Ian, a real inspiration to everyone -- especially me!

herbal opportunity's Gravatar Ian isan idol for all those who have gained weight due to heavy smoking and alcoholism. Even after smoking 40 cigarretes for 2 years he could give it up completely. As he has rightly pointed up for motivation u should not depend on thers.

John's Gravatar Can I add another congratulations to you for being determined enough to confront so many negative influences in your life and to be willing to share your experiences with others. You're an inspiration. Like your practical tip about cooking food from the raw ingredients so you know what has gone into it. All best.
