Ash's Gravatar I read "Slimming with Pete" in 2002. I then read "Lighten Up" and started following the programme. I also started weight training for the first time. I lost 3 stone in 6 months. Nice and slow and steady and it really worked for me.

Since then, life has hit me hard and I have put on 5.5 stone from where I was at that time, so it's now back to first principals. I will get the books out of the cupboard and re-read them cos I know that when I follow the programme fully, it works!

Sue's Gravatar I love the SIimming with Pete book. I also bought it a few years ago and took it on holiday with me. I read it over twice on holiday and found it really inspiring too. I have the Lighten Up book and both books make so much sense.
I am with you Ash - am going to re-read too!

Cristina's Gravatar Thank you for the free 'slimming with pete' ebook...I started reading it yesterday. Not only does have fantastic content but it has been written in such an entertaining way I simply can't wait to get to the end. I hope it was meant to be funny because so far I found myself laughing out loud, no doubt because I could relate! As for the media cheap, nasty, sensational rubbish that is out there, and so much of it, I agree with you "who cares!!!!". Most of it isn't even true, just rubbish fantasy and illusion that creates distraction from looking where it's most important i.e. within, where real truth and happiness lie.

sarah's Gravatar I have downloaded the book and will start reading monday. Once I get all this weekend business out of the way. Sad that I will be missing the session with you on sunday but I will be doing an assignment with Carolian Autism and the premier of Dear John. Have a blast with the rest of the mamavation moms

Mandie's Gravatar I'm really looking forward to the book - thanks Pete - going to read it this week. You really are a super star... xx Great timing with the Diane article - I remember meeting her and how lovely she is. Also remember that she's managed to lose twelve stone eating starchy carbs so I'm darned sure I can shift one!

wendy's Gravatar Hope the media do more comparisons like that. Diane is living proof that large amounts of weight can be lost without the need for painful, life-threatening surgery.

Thanks for the book, downloaded but not yet read. I missed that one, coming on board first with Lighten Up.

Hope you stay wide awake for those moms.

PP's Gravatar Thanks for the book Pete. What a great prez.
I read it some years ago after reading lighten up. I honestly think that only you could write a book about slimming and make it into such a fun read.
I can see why the characters remind you of us lot..
I love the news and cant wait for wednesday night.

Big `go for it girls` to all the moms.

PP xx

Gilly's Gravatar Thanks very much Pete.

I loved the slimming with Pete book when it came out. I must have lent it out and not had it returned, so it was a lovely gift out of the blue.

I'll download it and take it on my travels to keep me motivated.

Thanks again,

Gilly
