Mandie's Gravatar Straightforward, honest TRUTH!! I particularly loved the bit about focusing on how we FEEL rather than what we want to look like - THAT'S where it's at for me... Asthetics are a great side effect! M :))

Brussel Sprout's Gravatar I loved this podcast. I had watched the Fat Chance programmes before, but hearing Jane talk again was inspirational. And I totally got her comment about how health professionals 'don't care'...I've said exactly the same to students: if you don't care about your work and your learning and your progress, why should I? I have a life and I won't be sitting there on Saturday evening going Oh No, Danny/Kylie/Caroline/Ben isn't doing their best. And then, they realise that I will bust a gut if they show the commitment, but until they show the commitment, why should I. When it came to my health, I realised I had to show the commitment too - 6 months in, I've lost 18k - it feels fantastic, here's to the next 18!

Watching Fat Chance was something that really motivated me to keep going during one of the inevitable plateaux; I'd love to know how the families are doing now.
