Don't Bother With New Years Resolutions

Happy New Year to you all.
I hope this year is a great one for you and you are happier, slimmer, fitter and healthier. Please have a listen to my new pod cast below, called, "Don't Bother With New Years Resolutions".
We still have some places left on the new Live Online Courses starting on the 12 of January. It’s a great opportunity to be coached by me in person and for you to receive a real personal touch. It’s a great chance for your specific needs to be addressed and resolved over the 8 weeks. There will be a focus on breaking the habits that have held you back and helping you create ones that not only help you lose weight but, more importantly, keep it off.
There will also be new tools and techniques for you to use as well as opportunities for you to get to know others and develop a stronger supportive network.
These courses will run in real time and will deliver a personal touch by offering group coaching.
If you are interested in on-line one to one coaching with me then please send us an email to info@petecohen.tv

I pledge that this year I am going to focus on looking after myself better, learning to be good to myself and getting more balance in my life. I will use this year to experiment with healthy foods that I love to cook and eat, I will find a way to fit dance into my life (as this is the form of exercise that I love) and I will learn to stop fighting with myself.
See you on the 12th!

I've not made New Years Resolutions for a long time now - I found they always fell by the wayside. Maybe it's the timing of them always seeming wrong or the need to join everyone else making resolutions at the same time as yourself. I really like the idea of pledging to do the best you can to optimise your own health and fitness in the coming year - it's a heck of a lot more realistic and far easier to ahere to.
I wonder how many people think that they always fail by falling into the habit of making overly ambitious resolutions each year and how that makes them feel.
With the help of Pete's program, I have changed my outlook in that if I go offtrack I simply stay aware that I'm offtrack and start again the next day. I no longer waste energy on self defeating negative thoughts in relation to weight such as guilt. I just start again the next day and again and again and again thereafter. So far, Pete's program has proved successful for me having lost one stone this year and my level of fitness has improved dramatically. I'm really excited about losing my next stone and I've committed to setting the goal of achieving this by end of March. I no longer see the program as a 'weight loss program' but as a 'complete reprogramming' of my outlook and habits in general for a healthier happier lifestyle with the bonus of being slimmer and fitter. I have no intention of making a new year resolution, I'm simply starting day 1 again TODAY! :)
Change is already in motion without defining 1st Jan as the ultimate day to set myself up for failure. State of mind is much better since starting your programe last year. Met some great people, via your programe, who have kept me grounded. Feel so supported, more than ever now. Am gonna try blogging for the first time, 2010. Definately count me in for the 12th January. Loving your work, as always.
Best Wishes and Heres to a Happy 2010 with loads of fun X

Happy new year to you dear Pete.
I think that the 'pledge' is a New Years Resolution by another name.
For me I am going for a PLEDGE with slight twist to it all.
I pledge that for the next 365 days (one day at a time) I will be the best person that I can be for myself. I will continue with the veg. garden. I will commit to the 30 min walk per day.
You have a lot of exciting things going on and I am going to make time for them,
Take care x x x
2010 is a significant year for me as will be 50 in November and I pledge to make it my best year yet. I'm going to be as healthy and active as possible so that on 9th November 2010 I feel happy and comfortable about myself and I will be slimmer, fitter and healthier.
I will blog regularly and make use of all the support from the wonderful, supportive people who also blog. I pledge to blog even when things don't go so well, not just when everything is fine.
I'm looking forward to the live online course from the 12th. I've also been following you on Twitter and have found it very helpful to get frequent reminders of how to be fitter, slimmer and healthier. Big thanks for providing so much encouragement and motivation!
