Under Pressure at Christmas

 Hi there

Please have a look at my latest new video post about how to deal with the pressures at Christmas.

Comments :
babsybabe's Gravatar Haha, you really are nuts Pete - in the nicest possible way! Another fab vid - I know I'm looking forward to resting up and having some quiet time this Christmas....recharge my batteries and prepare for spring!

Annie's Gravatar Loving your video diaries Pete - keep them coming. Know what you mean about the chaos going on out there and have to say I find it difficult to avoid. But I'm really looking forward to our extended family being together. We're not buying each other presents - thank goodness there are 18 of us - but all chipping in for some fabulous food and I know the company will be good. Joining us as well is a friend who is 52 with a disability. I met him a few years ago and to watch the enjoyment he got from the simple things around us was very humbling. Seeing his happiness topped any present I could have received and has changed my views on trying to organise the 'best ever' christmas. I'm looking forward to meeting him again this year. I'm also looking forward to recharging my batteries too. Hope you have a great time too.

cherub79's Gravatar you are feeling more festive than I am

Not wham - bit of shaken stevens & slade

I think most people have a stressful year & you want it to be perfect for everyone
I am very relieved we always go to the inlaws or I know I would get stressed out

You do feeling like you wish december away, so it is all over with

I have been a lot more relaxed this year thanks to the programme

Thinking about what to get people rather than anything I see in BHS

I still plan to exercise, just not as much. Maybe more walking than the gym

Cristina's Gravatar loooooooooooooooooooool...keep singing Pete, that's was fab! As for the oats I understand they also help with sleep. I love experimenting with porridge by adding lots of yummy extras like berries, a touch of agave syrup or honey, yogurt, raisings, bananas...the list is endless. One can made it really tasty and it's so filling! Although I love the Festive Season as a colourful way of getting through the dark nights, it is also a sad time for many and many are spending Xmas on their own. I would love to see Xmas Day as a time for entire communities and neighbours to come together so that no one is ever on their own, not just families, and for the festive spirit to carry on 365 days a year!

I've chosen to stay chilled and celebrate Solstice instead. I'll thank mother earth for providing veggies for the winter and might even hug an evergreen tree or two ... :)

BikerB's Gravatar Ha ha..you are nuts Pete, but you also talk a lot of sense. This time of year I always want to hibernate but come the turn of the year I feel really positive looking forward to the spring. So I reckon there's a lot in what you are saying. Thanks Pete. (By the way what were you singing?)
Love BikerB x

Sandie's Gravatar My best Christmas song is Slade's Merry Christmas and I think that the most important line is - "the future's only just begun". This record was number one when we got married and although that was now 36 years ago the song still has a 'now' freshness to it.

Beth's Gravatar Great blog Pete.

I love that Wham Christmas song.
Thanks for reminding us of why some foods are just so good for us.

Blosom's Gravatar I think you must have seen my life, after gloating how calm I have felt on your programme, between the festive season ,decorating and hormones I have gone to pieces, I know it is my fault for not coming on line and reading all your bloggs and watching your videos.
My holidays have started today so I am trying to catch up with everything and hoping to get back to the calm person I was and stop eating for no reason.
Thanks Pete x x x

sally's Gravatar Hey, been missing you. Have decided MY "Me Time" is spent catching up with all the great things you have being doing lately. Definately puts me on a high and great to feel that its not just me; but a community of us. Thanks, but no thanks for your singing; although we love the message!!!!( You're great really.........except singing!!!!) 2010 is going to be a good year and I promise you a concerted effort, rather than the half hearted one. Blogging, rather than denying is the first resolution I have made. Merry Christmas to you, Wanted to give you a huge hug, I am such a different person from when you met me in feburary. FEELING GREAT! Can't wait to see more.....but not the singing....think Simon Cowell would have booted you one. You deserve the best christmas for all the good you have done; for all of us. You've change a lot of mindsets out there; THANKYOU SO MUCH & Happy Christmas XS
