wendy's Gravatar Thank you so much Pete and Colin. Brilliant information and advice and exactly what I needed. You might have been talking about me at one stage. 6 stone to lose and getting about half way and sticking. Also about never being too late for change.

Just need to get out there and up the ante with a bit more resistence training.

Evil Pixie's Gravatar hi pete not managed to listen to it all yet but so far .... I just do CV work, I run and that's it (the Wii is movemnet for fun not exercise!) and you've almost convinced me to do some resistence work
*wanders off to library to get book out*
I may even dust my hubby's weights down!
great work - again!

Elaine's Gravatar Hi Pete
Really enjoyed listening to you and Colin. What a brilliant amount of useful information. I have enjoyed resistance training for almost 30 years now working through whatever methods were thought at the time to achieve the best results etc but without a doubt it is the best for body shape. Also as an important benefit my bone density is excellent - important for women as they get older. Thanks again Pete.

Zenith's Gravatar Thanks Pete and Colin
Great words of wisdom and very motivating too. I though because I wanted to burn off fat I would be quicker just doing Cardio. Now I think I will aim for a balanced mixture of all different kinds of exercise but keep the reisitance stuff to the fore.
Thanks

pepita's Gravatar Evil Pixie - I agree that a lot of the Wii Fit is not cardio but I do free jogging on it whilst watching the TV in the evening and that definitely gets my heart rate up and adds to my pedometer steps so I do count that as real exercise. Add the muscle toning exercises and I don't think it's such a bad way to excercise and is fun as well.

Miss Motivated's Gravatar That was a brilliant, inspiring podcast - thank you both. I'm 29 now and have been interested in health and fitness since I was 12 years old. Over the years I have read so many differing opinions on how "best" to lose fat or the quickest way to lose weight that I was more confused than ever and 2 stone over weight!

Thank you for giving me back "the buzz" to get me back into shape - I can do it this time.....and I'm going to stay that way.

MM xx

mchammer's Gravatar I have been resisting the resistance training up until now (I suspect that probably doesn't count) but am now converted and going to embrace it instead.

Many thanks, really appreciate your advice.

Onwards and upwards
