Flock Off

Hi there everyone,

Most of you know that one of the most important things I talk about is the voice in our heads that quacks away at us like a duck.

Our basic quality of life comes down to how we communicate with ourselves and what we say to ourselves. Our lives can improve so much by getting the duck to shut up, so the next time you find yourself giving yourself a hard time, say the mantra to yourself: "SHUT THE DUCK UP"

I hope you like the picture of the duck flying away because with a bit of work may be yours will too and you'll be free to enjoy your life more!
Download a really big version of the picture here.

Oh, and - here's an older post on the duck...

See you all soon!
Pete

Claud's Gravatar Funny you should mention the duck...I've had one quacking in my head for years - it sounded a lot like 'you'll never be a slim person. you're fat, that's who you are, you wouldn't be you if you were slim...' my, that duck kept me in a damaging - but comforting hole for years!

well, the duck is shutting up. 5 stone down and swimming, dancing and running, my snake hips are gradually revealing themselves! Better than that, I'm feeling emotionally light - and that's a priceless feeling. I'm having way too much fun to ever let the duck move back in.

pete's Gravatar Thanks for your comments Claud. How did you manage to lose that 5 stone?

Silvia's Gravatar Yesterday I talked to a close friend. Her sister had been so ill and she told me she never got depressed. And she had a tough life. I asked my friend if she complained about her lot. No, she didn't. I guess she had no duck speaking loud in her head.

Yuri | myFitterU.com's Gravatar I totally agree Pete!

I like to refer to it as "mind-frick". We become what we think about! Choose your thoughts wisely.

Jeanette's Gravatar Pete,
I enjoy your emails so much. The ducks are quacking away in my head. One reminded me that we played golf one day here in East Texas. That was really a treat for me.
I taught a Sunday School class this week about Jesus' life as a teacher. My handouts for the senior citzens were drawings of ducks that I got from the children's teacher. The feathers 'tickled' everyone.
