It's a big one

Hi there,

I want to say a special thank you to you all for your continuing support of me and my work.

Due to increased demand for my weight loss programme, petecohen.tv, we have changed our internet servers recently. Some of you might have experienced some technical problems and we apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused you.

Next week is a big week for me with the start of GMTV’s Inch Loss Island on ITV.  I have not been on the show for two years and I am very much looking forward to getting back on the “little” screen. Kate Garraway is all set to present Inch-loss Island from January 21st. She'll be joined by four top experts, including me, and four overweight viewers on a remote island cut off from the outside world. The experts will coach the castaways and help them change their eating and exercise habits for life.

One of my ambitions is to help put a dent in the huge obesity problem by helping and supporting people to lose weight.

If you get a chance,  check out  GMTV next week  and follow our participants’  journey on gm.tv from Monday the 21st. There will also be some top tips and advice on the site for you.

Take care,
Pete

I sincerely wish you success in your endeavour. I really think you can help a lot because it is such a simple, straightforward and pain free method to lose weight and don't get it back.
...

I have a question. After five months, there was no relapse so far. But I couldn't deal with a week of commemoration. I traveled to visit my mother and friends. During this time, I couldn't avoid eating much more than I needed, nor I was not able to eat as slowly as I wished. And, in a few days, the dinner was quite late!

I follow your advice and eat only when hungry. If I eat more than I need I just skip the next meal because I won't feel hungry. But this was impossible while with them. The result, I felt immediately: first, I didn't sleep so well. Next, I was feeling sluggish and my mind was not so clear. It took me a few days to be back on the habit of being active.

The question is how to deal with people offering food and talking to me and myself getting so involved and happy that I couldn't pay all attention to my eating?

I overate. I abused the quantity due circumstances, however I chose well what to eat, and completely refused what I considered "dangerous". When circumstances allowed I was back to the good habit of eating wisely. So, no relapse at all! Anyway, I hope you can help me avoid this in the future.

Thanks,

Silvia -
