There are over a quarter of a million diet books out there with new ones being ‘invented’ all of the time. If you walk into any book shop or search online, you are quite literally overwhelmed with the choice of books, all offering the next miracle weight loss system. How do you know which to choose and who to trust?
Well, you don’t need any of these faddy books. They are just a way for people to make money and the diet industry is a HUGE multi-million pound business. Common sense is your best guide and eating real, fresh and unprocessed food.
You need to cleanse the body from the inside out to enable it to shed unwanted body fat. Focusing on cutting out processed junk and toxic foods to help your body and liver detox and release unwanted toxins from unwanted fat cells.
Toxins are stored in fat cells to be dealt with by the body’s normal detox pathways another time when the body is not under so much nutritional stress. The body fills these fat cells with fat to dilute the toxins.
But why can’t I just, ‘be good’?
It depends how quickly you would like to see results. I’m sure if I asked someone who had several stone to lose, would they like to lose a stone in 1 month or 3 months, I’m sure you would know the answer.
These days we now eat many foods that contain lots of things that are toxic to our bodies such as artificial sweeteners, additives, preservatives, pesticides, growth hormones, antibiotics in non-organic meats and so on.
Our bodies don’t recognise these toxins as ‘natural’ so cannot process them. To avoid
having them in the blood stream it lays down fat cells to house and dilute them. This
means we are walking around with toxic and overweight bodies, but it’s not simply about eating less ‘calories’ and moving more. It matters WHAT you eat.
The diagram below illustrates why a traditional diet causes weight gain after stopping. The dots show toxins/impurities in the body after eating non natural foods and drinks. After a diet where the type of foods are not addressed, the body is slimmer but still toxic, in fact even more so as you are smaller.
Once the diet is stopped, as they are usually quick fix and not sustainable, the body senses the increased level of toxins and goes into emergency fat production causing weight to regain quickly.
When you clean up your diet for a while by eating fresh, natural foods such as organic meats, fresh vegetables, legumes etc and drinking pure water, the toxins in the body are released from the fat cells so your body sheds the unwanted fat.
The result? An improved, healthier and a leaner body. And, when you eat for health, becoming slim will just be a side-effect!
